A Must Have for Pregnancy: Pregnancy Pillows!

Six months into my first pregnancy, I went from a sleeper to an insomniac! With my baby growing inside me, my position when I sleep was no longer effective.

I was cranky and was pissed at my husband most of the time, and the bad thing is that I’m keeping him up at night too, so he was being cranky and pissed at me too! With the emotions and hormones of an expectant mother, you can picture out how our home quickly turned to a battle zone.

Fortunately, My friend Liz was pregnant before me. After two weeks of being exhausted from arguing and a lack of sleep, I had the chance to let out my frustrations to her. She was having her second child that time, and after hearing my troubles, she was quick to show me how great pregnancy pillows are. It’s as big as your body, and supports your belly from side to side. These were made to spread around the added weight of your tummy.

I felt like my problems were far more worse than anyone ever could live to experience, I was in a frantic search for the ultimate pillow. Liz told me about the brand “Snoogle Pregnancy Pillow”. I quickly hurried to get to a store that sold one. Sadly, the store I went to did not have that brand.

What did I do? I went to another store because I wasn’t about to give up on the notion of a good night’s rest. The clerk helped me find one – the Todays Mom Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow. I didn’t have the chance to try out a Snoogle, but I didn’t care. I got what was needed to have a good night’s sleep, and to save my marriage because of my new pillow.

If you need to travel when you are pregnant, taking a pregnancy pillow would be impossible since it’s too big to pack. There are some alternatives, though. A body pillow would do the job. If it’s still too big, a pregnancy support pillow could work as well. You may also want to check out baby safety monitors.
