Going on Holiday while Pregnant? Remember your Maternity Swimwesr
It’s a good idea to plan a holiday with your other half while you’re pregnant. This may be the last chance you have to be alone together before the baby is born and a relaxing holiday can be a great way to distress your mind and body in preparation for the baby’s arrival. The second trimester is the best time to go away as you’re less likely to be feeling tired and suffering from morning sickness but airlines will still let you fly without a doctor’s certificate and you’re not yet feeling too big and uncomfortable.
Relaxing by the beach is a great way to unwind and chill out. Beach clothing can be a godsend for pregnant women – lots of loose floaty dresses with nothing to restrict your bump or make you feel too hot. Also don’t forget to pick up some appropriate maternity swimwear before you leave that will both make you look great on the beach and let you enjoy beneficial and relaxing swims in the pool and the sea.
You can choose to either show off your bump with a maternity bikini or cover up a little with a one piece or a tankini. If You’d rather expose less skin when you’re not swimming there are also some great maternity swim cover ups that you can throw over your swimwear to look great on the beach and they can also be dressed up for an evening meal or night out.
Take the opportunity while on holiday to get your mind and body in tip top shape before you return to reality. Eat good food (stay away from salads that may have been washed in unclean water and shellfish), enjoy lots of gentle walks and swims in your maternity bathing suit and maybe get a facial or a relaxing shoulder massage. You’ll return feeling refreshed and invigorated and ready to prepare for the arrival of your baby.
