Save Money When Purchasing Crib Bedding
If you are starting to look at crib bedding sets for a new baby, you are realizing that it is extremely expensive. Even at super stores and discount stores it can be pricey. Here are some easy tips to follow to save money on bedding they are only going to use for a couple years.
1. Look for sales and cut coupons. If the store carrying your desired bedding is having a store wide sale, or sale on that item, mark it down on your calender. Also apply for store coupons. If you have a baby registry at the store, wait until after your shower to buy it. Most stores offer a 10%-20% discount on items left over on your registry. Pair that with an additional 15% off coupon and you could easily be looking at 35% off. Also try finding it online through another vendor.
2. Hunt garage sales, second hand stores, or classifieds like craigslist. As long as you wash it, it really is as good as new. Plus, you may be able to get it for next to nothing, saving you tons of money.
3. Mix up the bedding in bag combos. If you really like some bedding, but don’t want to spend all of that money, just pick a few pieces. You don’t use the quilts that come with the bedding, and often not the valences and other things. Choose a neutral colored sheet, and curtains, but order just the bumper for the crib and some of the other accessories. This will save you lots of money.
4. Completely create your own. Get solid sheets and bumpers, then just add wall decor and accessories with any theme you want. This way your crib bedding set is cheap and easily changeable if something gets stained.
Shopping around, comparing prices, and cutting coupons will all save you money. You don’t have to pay high prices to get cute baby crib bedding for your little one.
